This collection was first published in 2019 and revised in 
2023. Not Without Black Women is a compilation of poems 
about navigating and experiencing the world as a black 
woman. I’ve added a chapter, “the wisdom”, to round out 
this experience and replaced several poems with newer 
works on similar topics. The perspective, passion, and 
power of black women are invaluable. So are we. I pray that you find resonance and inspiration in these pages.
