"Somebody Else's Blues" is not only the title of Dr. Rebecca Dupas’s latest novel, poetry collection, and reflection journal but also the name of her signature poetry event. The show Somebody Else's Blues features never-before-heard poems from Somebody Else's Blues: An Open Mic Experience—a few fan favorites—and dialogue inspired by Somebody Else's Blues: A Reflection Journal. It intentionally introduces audiences to characters in the novel in ways that are not contingent on them having read the book first.
